Bank Suey is a volunteer-run, community space located in the heart of Hamtramck, at the corner of Joseph Campau and Caniff. They host layered programming-- a combination of unique events along with other organizations that call Bank Suey home.

So far, they have produced and partnered on over 100 gatherings hosting 5,000+ attendees. Their programming covers a broad range of topics unified by a purpose: to build skills, understanding, and confidence resulting in citizen involvement and greater community wealth.

In 2019, ZCCD partnered with Bank Suey and the Power House Productions in hosting Zimbabwean film maker, Rumbi Katedza and Zimbabwean American writer and film maker, Charles Mudede.

Rumbi Katedza during her public conversation hosted at Bank Suey together with ZCCD Research Fellow and community cultural activist, Halima Cassells, 2019
