Farai Rukunda is serves as the Treasurer for the board of SADZA SPACE. Farai migrated to the United States in 1988 to further his education, obtaining a Master’s of Science in Biochemistry and a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology/Chemistry from Wright State University. After working at Wright State University as a Senior Research Scientist in the department of Chemistry for 15 years, he moved to Southwestern, Michigan in 2007 to work for LECO Corporation, a global manufacturer of laboratory equipment. In his current role, Farai oversees a group of Technical and Field service engineers for the Separation Science product line, supporting customers throughout the United States and managing daily projects by being the conduit between customers and the company.

Farai is also a member of the Stevensville United Methodist Church where he serves the role of being the Chairperson for the Administrative Council, and a member of the Benton Harbor Sun Rise Rotary Club. He founder and visionary of Living Beyond Hope.
Farai Rukunda and ZCCD co-founder, Chido Johnson have had a long history in exploring art together going back to their childhoods. The picture below was taken at an Arts Workshop in Old Mutare Mission, Zimbabwe in 1984.
