Stephanie Buer is an artist based in Portland, Oregon. Her appreciation of urban desolation comes from over a decade of observing decay in the urban landscape in Detroit, Michigan. Her photo-like detailed works in both oil and charcoal mostly show spaces that people left behind. She participates in the postcard project wish you were here which has been exhibited at Public Pool (Hamtramck), Delta Gallery (Harare), Elaine L. Jacob Gallery (W.S.U. Detroit), National Gallery of Zimbabwe (Mutare), DAASGallery (U.M. Ann Arbor).
