Having just finished a two months residents at Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, Tendai Mupita came to Detroit for a few weeks to explore Detroit and finish up some work. This residency was made possible with the support from the Power House Production that helped provide lodging and studio.

Tendai Mupita is a Zimbabwean artist who was born in 1990. His work was featured in exhibitions at the T293, Rome and the SaloN 91 Contemporary Art Collection. In MutualArt’s artist press archive, Tendai Mupita is featured in Tendai Mupita – ‘Kuedza Mudzimu Nesengere – Testing the Waters’ at T293, Italy, a piece from the Arte Fuse in 2020. He is presently enrolled in the MFA program at Virginia Commonwealth University.
