TOGARA MUZANENHAMO

Togara Muzanenhamo was born in the Zambian city of Lusaka. He worked as a journalist before joining an organization that produces African film scripts. His poems have appeared in many magazines. Muzanenhamo's poetry is characterized by a driving, lyrical tone and a subtle plasticity. His is the author of, Spirit Brides (Carcanet Press, 2006) that was shortlisted for the Jerwood Anderson First Collection Prize, and Gumiguru (Carcanet Press 2014). His third book, Textures (2014) also features verses by John Eppel.
