SANDRS CHARI

Sandra Chari participated in DETZIM 2016 and collaborated with Jonni Paige from Detroit. She was born on 2 March 1993 in Chitungwiza, Zimabwe. Her work primarily centers on the female figure and all aspects affecting women from different cultures. The artist mainly works on mixed media, painting and sculpture. She creates life size work using different mediums like recycling materials and textiles. The artist began her art journey in 2006 at Chiteshe Secondary School in Buhera where she joined art class. She holds a Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Fine Art from Chinhoyi University of Technology, Zimbabwe. Sandra was also awarded University Book Prize on her main project. Her work was exhibited at Long Cheng Plaza in Harare.
